The Vibration and Acoustics Research Group in College of Mechatronic Engineering and Automation at NUDT carries out fundamental research on the vibration and acoustics properities of Phononic Crystals as well as periodic structures. With the theories in the propogation of elastic wave in periodic structures or composites, we mainly concern the potential applications relating to the field of sound and vibration control.
Our works are mainly focused on:
- Underwater absorption of locally resonant sonic materials
- Sound and vibration control of periodic structures
- Acoustic metamaterials
Our research is supported by National Natural Science Foundation of China, National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scientists, etc.
